Kids check-in can be simple.
Check-in opens at 9:50 AM for the 10:00 AM service.
Visit the Family Welcome Station in the church lobby when you arrive.
Check in. Visit the Family Welcome Station to complete your child’s check-in and receive your secure pickup information.
Meet the team. Meet your child’s leaders, see the age-appropriate room, and tell us about any allergies, needs, or concerns.
Pick up. After worship, return to your child’s room and use your secure pickup information.
Need more time? Stay with your child for a few minutes or bring them with you to worship. Children are always welcome.
Bible truth your child can understand and use.
Each Sunday, children explore an age-appropriate Bible story through teaching, worship, conversation, and hands-on activities.
We help them discover what the story reveals about God, what it means for their lives, and how they can follow Jesus during the week.

Are kids ministry volunteers background checked?
Yes. Volunteers who serve with minors complete the church’s required background screening and safety training before serving. Our current screening process includes Live Scan and Shepherd’s Watch.
What if my child has allergies or special needs?
Tell us about allergies, medical needs, or additional support at check-in. A ministry leader will explain the current snack practices and discuss what support is available that Sunday
What if my child feels nervous or cries at drop-off?
That’s normal, especially on the first Sunday. We’ll move at your child’s pace and help them connect with a trusted leader. You may stay for a few minutes while your child settles. We will use the contact information provided at check-in if your child needs you.
Can my child stay with me in the worship service?
Yes. Kids are always welcome in worship at Oceanside First Presbyterian Church. Many families start in worship and then move to Kids Ministry when their child feels ready. We also provide activity bags to keep those little minds active.
Is nursery care always available?
Nursery care is generally available for children ages infants - two years old during Sunday worship, depending on that morning’s staffing. Ask at the Family Welcome Station when you arrive.
How early can we check in before the 10:00 AM service?
Check-in opens at 9:50 AM. If you arrive early, we’ll help you get settled, meet the leaders, and find the room without rushing.

Stay close while your child settles in.
Nursery care is available during Sunday worship based on your child’s age and that morning’s staffing.
The Wiggle Room is available for nursing, soothing, or taking a break with your child. A video feed allows families to continue following the worship service.
Children are always welcome with you in the sanctuary. There is no pressure to separate before your family is ready.
