Say What, Jesus? – The Hardest Things Jesus taught
We love it when Jesus says comforting things like “Come to me and I will give you rest.”
But what about when He says the hard stuff like...
“Deny yourself.”
“Forgive seventy times seven.”
“Love your enemies.”
“Take up your cross daily.”
These aren’t warm, fuzzy Instagram quotes. These are life-altering, pride-shattering commands—and Jesus meant every word.
In our teaching series “Say What Jesus” at Oceanside First Presbyterian Church & Preschool with Pastor Mike Killeen dives straight into the statements that make us squirm… and shows why they’re the key to real life, real freedom, and real faith.
Series Highlights:
Why Jesus’ most difficult teachings are also His most loving
The commands that cut deep but heal even deeper
How following Jesus will always cost you something… and why it’s worth it
If you’ve ever wondered, “Did Jesus really mean that?”—this series is for you.
